Soy Unica! Soy Latina! Event in Planning Stage

Planning Committee Meeting:
January 17, 2008
Bloomfield Town Hall

CASAC is currently in the process of planning our 4th Annual Soy Unica! Soy Latina! all female event and our second planning committee meeting will be Thursday, January 17th at  the Bloomfield Town Hall. Soy Unica! Soy Latina! translates as “I am unique! I am Latina!”

Soy Unica! Soy Latina! is a multi-cultural event designed to help young girls ages 9-14, their mothers,  and other caregivers build self-esteem, decision making skills, and assertiveness to prevent the abuse of alcohol, tobacco, and illicit drugs.
CASAC, with federal funding from a Drug Free Communities Grant, is committed to making this multi-cultural program for ALL girls. The hope is that our energies will culminate in bringing together many of the girls and the women in their lives from within the CASAC community for a better understanding of themselves, of the people around them, and of the hazards of all drug abuse.

Soy Unica! Soy Latina! wants you! Please let us know if you would like to participate and partner with us either once again or for the first time, for this exciting and successful all female multi-cultural event. Please share this information with women in your agency so they too, can be a part of the planning process. We look forward to partnering with you!
